In recent times many huge malls have come in Chennai, all international brands are available which makes our shopping enjoyable.. I plan my shopping by downloading list of shops from the website and rounding off my requirements…Chennai Rocks!!!
Here a quick pasta dish with a dash of vodka jus to enhance some flavors.. n wanted to try on some veg sausage n immediately stuck was gram flour lying in the cupboard for some time.. decided on this yummy sausage n at the end added button mushroom n few sweet potatoes just for some more filling..
Ingredients for pasta:
1 cup – Pasta
2 cups – Tomatoes, de seeded and chopped
2 tbsp – Vodka
½ cup – Cream
¼ cup – Extra virgin olive oil
4 cloves – Garlic, minced
1 tsp – Dried Italian Herbs
½ tsp – Red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Few chopped basil
1 – Besan sausage
½ cup – Parmesan grated
Ingredients For Sausage:
1 cup – Besan / Gram flour
½ tsp – Red chilli flakes
¼ tsp – Cumin powder
¼ cup – Water
Method for Besan Sausage:
In a pan dry roast besan for a min add red chilli flakes, cumin powder and salt.
Add water and make it to thick dough.
Once it cools roll them and cut them into small round shape as sausages.
Method for Pasta:
In a large pot of boiling water, with 1 tbsp of salt cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a pan, add oil and sauté the garlic, add red chilli flake, Italian herbs, salt and sauté for a min.
Add the sausage and sauté for another minute add the tomatoes and vodka and cook until tomatoes soften add mushrooms n sweet potatoes cook for 2 min covered.
Add the pasta sauté and season it with pepper, fresh cream, chopped basil and grated parmesan cheese.
