Sprouted Green gram steamed cakes in spicy Gravy

Usage of sprouts in day to day food is a must for the sedentary lifestyle. This dish is totally inspired from Nidhiraizada blog.

After seeing Priya jee’s CWS – Mung Beans event decided to prepare this dish.

Ingredients:

1 cup – Green gram sprouts
1 no – Onion paste
2 tbsp – Tomato puree
1 tsp – Ginger paste
1 tsp – Garlic paste
½ cup – Curd
1 tsp – Coriander powder
1 tsp – Red chili powder
½ tsp – Turmeric powder
1 tsp – Garam Masala
¼ tsp – Cumin Seeds
2 tbsp – Oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Grind the sprouts to fine paste with very minimum water and ¼ tsp salt.
Steam the paste for 10 mins or until cooked.
Cut it into small pieces. In non stick pan heat 1 tbsp oil fry the cakes till golden brown. Take it out and keep aside.

Add remaining oil once hot add cumin seeds and onion paste sauté well; add ginger and garlic paste fry till golden brown.

Add tomato paste, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt mix well and add yogurt.
Mix it well and add the cakes, 1/2 cup water and simmer for 10 minutes.

Once done garnish with chopped coriander and serve it with roti.
