Baked Pasta in Marinara Sauce

I love baked pasta they are always delicious. Made pasta with marinara sauce and topped with mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese and it really tasted so yummy!!!


2 cups – Wheat Pasta (any type)
2 cups – Grated cheese (mix of mozzarella and cheddar)

For Marinara sauce:

3 large – Tomatoes, chopped
3 pods – Garlic, chopped
6 tbsp – Tomato puree
1/2 tsp – Oregano
1/2 tsp – Basil
1/2 tsp – Crushed pepper
1 tsp – Red Chilli flakes
Salt to taste
2 tbsp – Olive oil

Method for pasta:

Boil the pasta in enough water with some salt and a few drops of oil.
Method for Marinara sauce:
Pour oil in a pan saute the garlic and red chilli flakes. Cook till the raw smell disappears.

Now add the tomatoes and salt and cook until tomatoes are softened.

Add the tomato puree, pepper powder and the herbs; mix well sauté for another 1 min and its done.

Method for Layering:
Grease a baking dish. Spread the first layer with the marinara sauce.

Above the marinara sauce spread the pasta and a
gain apply the sauce and finally the cheese.

Bake for about 12 mins or depending on reqd.
