Kaala Channa Papad Chaat

This is a quick and healthy salad and perfect way to kick start the New year.

2 cups – Kaala Channa (soaked overnite and cooked in cooker for 5 whistles with salt or canned)
3 nos – Lijjat Papad (Toasted on medium fire and crushed)
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Cucumber 1 cup (peeled, de seeded and chopped)
Tomatoes – 1 cup (chopped)
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Red Chilli powder  – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Chaat Masala – 1/4 tsp
Salt as reqd
Olive oil – 1 tsp

In a salad bowl add onion, cucumber, tomatoes, chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala, olive oil, salt, lemon juice and chopped coriander.Add the chickpeas combine them well and add the crushed pappads.

Serve before the pappads soften.
