Green Moong Paneer Tikkis (Low cal)

I was craving for some chaat last weekend. But decided that i should prepare something at home and not to step out. Had some pre soaked green moong which i wanted to make into sprouts but that helped me in making these yummy simple, low cal tikkis which was just pan fried with very little oil and with some spicy mint chutney.

What you need for Tikkis:
2 cups – Green Moong (soaked overnight and cooked till tender with some salt)

1 cup – Grated paneer
1 tbsp – Green chillies, chopped
2 tbsp – Coriander, finely chopped
1 tsp – Ginger, finely chopped
1/2 tsp – Chaat Masala
1/2 tsp – Red chilli powder
½ tsp – Lime Juice
Salt as reqd

What you need for the outer covering:
4 tbsp – Fine semolina / rava
3 tbsp – Corn flour mixed in 5 tbsp water
3 tbsp – Oil for shallow frying

How to make:
In a bowl add all the ingredients for the tikkis mix them well make them into lemon sized balls flatten it and dip in the corn flour mixture and then on the semolina on both sides and keep aside.

In a frying pan add oil shallow fry the tikkis 3 – 4 min on each side or until they turn golden in color and place them on kitchen towel to drain excess oil if any.

Serve them hot with mint chutney!!!

Mint chuntey:
In a pan saute for 2 min roughly chopped 1 onion with 4 green chillies, 2 cups thoroughly washed mint leaves. Once they cool down add salt and grind them to a fine paste.
