These are organic home grown veggie in the backyard of my aunts place. They tasted really great and were so fresh.
What you need:
Channa dhal – 1/2 cup
Thoor dhal – 1/2 cup
Broad Beans – 1/4 kg
Red Chillies – 5 nos
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urah dhal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Asafoetida – pinch
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt as reqd
How to make:
Soak dhals n chilli in water for 1/2 hour. Drain water completely grind with salt and turmeric powder to smooth paste. Jus add a spoon of water while grinding.
Take a deep plate apply oil and spread the mixture on the plate. Cook for 3 whistles. Remove it cut them into cubes, cool it and grind to fine powder.
Meanwhile in a kadai cook the beans with bit of salt.
Once done heat oil add mustard seeds once it cracks add urad dhal, curry leaves saute well and then add usili and roast it until they give a crispy texture then add beans.
Mix them well cook for another 2 mins.
Serve it hot with rice, vatha kuzhambu and yummy crispy avarakkai usili!!
