SPROUTED CHICKPEA RICE (II) WITH TAWA FRIED PANEER N VEGGIES

A quick sprouted chickpea rice n some tawa fried veggies  n raita holds good on a sunday for lunch..Simplest dishes in a jiffy ..



What you need:
1 cup – Basmati rice, soaked for 10 mins
2 cups- Sprouted Chickpea, cooked
1 no – Onion, chopped
2 nos – Tomatoes, chopped
2 nos – Green chillies, slit
1/2 tsp – Ginger n garlic paste
1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
1/ 2 tsp – Cumin seeds
1 tsp – Garam masala
2 nos each – Bay leaf, Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon stick
2 tsp – Olive oil
3 tbsp – Fresh Coriander, chopped
1 and 1/2 cup – Water
Salt as reqd


How to make:
Heat oil in a pressure pan add cumin seeds and spices saute well add onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste mix well.


Add the chickpeas, tomatoes, mix well add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala add  water, rice mix well cover it and wait for 2 whistles and switch the stove off.


Serve with raitha.


TAWA FRIED VEGGIES N PANEER:
1 cup – Homemade paneer, cubed
1/2 cup – Red peppers, chopped
12 cup – Red Onions, chopped
1/2 cup – Hung curd
1/2 tsp – Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp – Tandoori masala powder
1/2 tsp – Ginger n garlic paste
1/2 tsp – Lemon juice
2 tbsp – Oil
Salt as reqd

Mix all the ingredients and set for 30 mins.


In a tawa add oil once hot place the veggies and paneer once crispy turn to the other side.


Roast until crisp and serve.

    Killer combo, nutritious,protein rich sprouted chickpea rice and droolworthy paneer, i dont mind inviting myself.
