There is no such rules to be followed in making a quick masala rice whatever comes out of the fridge n the shelf ends up n def they taste good too.. This is one such saver rice which i made to make my tummy happiee..
What you need:
Cooked Basmathi Rice – 1 cup
Mini Soya chunks – 1/2 cup (cooked)
Veggies – 1 cup (Mushroom, bell peppers)
Onion – 1 no (chopped)
Tomato puree – 1 tbsp
Green chilly – 2 nos + Ginger – 1 tsp + Garlic – 3 pods, crushed
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Mint n Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup, chopped
Bay Leaf – 1 no, + cinnamon stick – a small piece + Cardamom – 2 nos + Cloves – 2 nos
Salt as reqd
Oil – tbsp
How to make:
Heat oil in non stick pan add spices saute well, add the chillies, g n g paste mix well add onions and cook till they turn soft.
Add tomato puree, dry powders, mint n coriander laves saute well add 2 tbsp water and mix em up.
Throw in veggies n soya chunks, add salt mix well. Now add rice stir in and cover it for 2 mins .. remove and serve hot with raitha!!
