“Taste of Chennai” food festival at Paprika Café, Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, runs from 22nd to 29th July 2016.
Enjoyed food from the streets of Chennai crafted by Chef Jacob Justin, Head Chef Courtyard by Marriott Chennai. The food festival will focus on each location for a period of 2 days starting with Sowcarpet, Triplicane & Marina Beach, Pondy Bazaar and Mylapore respectively. Paprika Café at Courtyard by Marriott Chennai The cool, contemporary and inviting All Day Dining restaurant, offers one of the biggest buffet in the city. Sowcarpet ( For its famous Chat food & North Indian delicacies)
Live counters were set up for Chat Varieties and North Indian Delicacies: An array of dishes were served piping hot from the stove. Samosa, Pani puri,Jalebi, Kachori Chat,Vada Pav,Papads,Paratha Counter,Dhokla / Khandvi,Lassi/ Butter Milk,Bhel Puri,Badam Milk,Murukku Sandwich,Chole Bature,Kulfi,Sweets and North Indian food.
Must tries are Murukku Sandwich, Dhokla, Chole Bature and Pav sandwich. Authentically made and perfect to the core and the push cart (thallu vandi) in which these counters were set up gives you the live food experience of walking on the streets of Sowcarpet.
Marina Beach – Assortted Bajis, vadas, peanut sundal, regional snacks, sugar cane juice, cut mangoes.
Triplicane -Perfect Muslim style biryani , kebabs
Mylapore with its authentic filter Coffee, Idli, Vadai, kuzhi paniyaram, Rose milk.
T Nagar – Vegetarian Dosa varieties, Jigarthanda, Appam, Parota varieties, Frankies and Cut Fruits.
T.Nagar has many push carts serving varied tiffin varieties during late hours. The super hit for vegetarians is Idli, Kal dosai with vada curry which shdn’t be given a miss in this food festival.
Apart from the festival menu regular buffet dishes were also part of the spread. The buffet spread on push carts with live counters assured the street food experience. Authentically prepared dishes made the meal sumptuous. Apart from the menu on request dishes were also prepared by the chef.
